Created in 1988 by Patriarch João Moises, in honor of his wife Eugênia Carmem Moises, the Textil Carmem It is located in the city of Itapira in the interior of the state of São Paulo, in a built area of ​​9062.82 m2, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for yarn production.

The textile yarn manufacturing industry for knitting, weaving and decoration is currently managed by his son, the company administrator Cléber Elias Moisés, continuing the family tradition of more than 50 years of pioneers Antônio, Jorge and João Moises, who ventured into this segment. Since the beginning of its trajectory, the company has been committed to quality and agility in serving its customers.

The Textil Carmem, possuía apenas 5 filatórios (2000 fusos) e prestava serviços para atender clientes que utilizavam viscose como matéria prima. O trabalho era realizado no esquema de facção, pois era muito difícil conseguir uma cota de viscose, junto aos fornecedores nacionais.  Em 1989 com a aquisição de um pequeno volume de viscose e poliéster, se iniciou a produção por conta própria de fios de Poliéster 67% e Viscose 33%. Desde então a Textil Carmem vem se consolidando na produção de viscose 100%, levando a ampliações.

In 2007, always looking for improvements in the quality and technological innovation of its industrial park, it brought the Vortex® spinning technology, a system already approved and widely used in European and Asian countries. The company invested in the modern technology of spinning the 'Murata Vortex Spinning', initially buying 2 (two) machines and producing yarns with better quality, which made it a pioneer in the Brazilian market in the production and sales of Vortex yarns for knitting and weaving.

With its success and market acceptance, Textil Carmem expanded its production capacity and currently has 15 Vortex® machines in operation, in addition to 14 new machines under development, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and excellence in spinning.

In 2020, Textil Carmem began a new chapter in its history with the arrival of Vinícius, Cleber's son, to manage the company. Representing the third generation of the family, Vinícius brought a renewed vision, aligning innovation and tradition to further boost the company's growth.

The Textil Carmem tem diversos clientes no setor de malharias, tecelagem e decoração. Possui também uma carteira de exportações para o mercado SulAmericano. São produzidos anualmente mais de 3.500 (Três mil e Quinhentas) toneladas de fios, que geram os mais de 170 (Cento e Setenta) empregos diretos.

Company Structure

Textil Carmem comprises two industrial units, Unit I and Unit II, specializing in the production of Vortex® (PRIMEFIL) yarns.

Vortex® PRIMEFIL yarns are characterized by their low hairiness and high regularity, making them ideal for knitting and weaving. Currently, the company has 15 Vortex® machines, one of which is dedicated to the development of new products, reinforcing its pioneering spirit and commitment to innovation in the market.

The Textil Carmem structure occupies a plot of 17,162.93 m², with a built area of ​​9,062.82 m², distributed as follows:

Director's Testimony

We are at exactly 334 years ago, Mr. João de minha Moisés22, the challenge of my father the father of the textile industry where he was a partner, a new car part with me in founding the textile, that name and from a tribute had passed away 5 years ago.It was not started very difficult, companies, with service provision (supply faction with suppliers), which was carried out together with a small company, company, supplier and supplier. I remember very well my father returning to the factory, in a white D-10 truck with 4 bales, for me a very striking image, which will never leave my memory.The years went by and few with a lot of effort evolving and growing, counting on the support of new collaborators who arrived to strengthen our time.In 2007, we believed and invested in a new technology, a new challenge, the Vortex by Murata, an air spinning mill, in which we were the pioneers in Brazil, and without a doubt a right decision.In our country, everyone knows that it is not easy for a company in evolution, it has to have a lot of creativity and exercises from everywhere.Finally, I thank my father for the opportunity he gave me and I believe I did not disappoint him, unfortunately he is no longer active for health reasons. Also to all our employees, customers, suppliers and representatives, who have always believed in our serious and honest work.

I am the third generation of my family to lead this business, and today I have the privilege of sharing this responsibility with my father, Cleber Moisés. His trust in me was and continues to be fundamental for me to grow as a professional and, above all, as the successor to this legacy that began with my grandfather, João Moisés — a visionary, determined man who was passionate about what he did. He planted the seeds of what is now our company: a history built with hard work, solid values, and a focus on quality. Over the years, we have seen the company grow, strengthen, and gain more and more market share, without ever abandoning the principles that have brought us here. My grandfather's example of tireless work and my father's dedication have always inspired me to go further, seeking innovation without losing sight of our roots. Today, more than continuing, my commitment is to propel this legacy into the future, investing in new solutions, keeping up with market changes, and maintaining the excellence that has always been part of our journey. I am deeply grateful for the trust of my family, our team, and our partners. Together, we continue to grow with purpose, tradition, and innovation, building a solid and promising future.
